The Weston Centre is pleased to announce that we are helping The Wishing Well with their annual Christmas Toy Appeal.
The Wishing Well is a fantastic community charity that works year-round to improve the health and wellbeing of local people through a wide variety of services. What started as a concept to tackle health inequalities has blossomed into a support system for the entire community.
The organisation works with supported adults and older people, as well as children and families, helping them with everything from outings and activities, to meal deliveries and shopping, laundry, cleaning, and gardening, and so much more.
Christmas Toy Appeal 2021
Every year, The Wishing Well runs a toy appeal, assisted by various business partners. Between us, we collect donations that can be put together into gift parcels for children in the local area that would otherwise not be receiving much (if anything) at Christmas. With the ongoing pandemic, rising fuel and food prices, and increased unemployment, your donations are needed more urgently than ever in 2021.
What You Can Donate
The Wishing Well is looking for a range of donations. These include:
new toys
gift vouchers
selection boxes
gift bags
wrapping paper
How to Donate
If you’re able to help out with this incredible appeal, you can contact The Wishing Well directly to arrange a drop-off or collection of your donation. Send an email to Mabyn Meredith at the project – or give them a call on 07591 334 349.
Alternatively, donations can be dropped off right here at the Weston Centre. Our reception staff are available to receive donations between 09:00 and 18:00, Mondays to Fridays. If you’re one of our commercial or domestic customers, it couldn’t be easier for you to donate to the appeal.
Last Day for Donations
To give The Wishing Well time to collect, sort, and wrap presents, prior to handing them out to the community, all donations need to be made before Monday 6th December 2021.
We hope that you will join us in helping The Wishing Well with their appeal and making Christmas a bit brighter for those in our community who need it most.
